A Persian Masterpiece: the Ilaam Rug

This magnificent Ilaam rug, originating from Persia, is a superb example of oriental textile art. Woven with a precious combination of wool and silk on a cotton warp, it boasts an exceptional density of 500,000-600,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of 0.8 cm, ensuring both softness and durability.

Its design features an elaborate all-over pattern, rich with stylized floral motifs such as palmettes, leaves, and tendrils, intertwined with delicate animal figures that evoke an enchanted garden. The predominant colors include a deep black for the central field, enriched with shades of red, beige, and pastel blue for the details, creating a vibrant and sophisticated contrast. The borders, in a warm earthy red tone, harmoniously complete the composition, framing the entire piece.

Every fiber tells a story, every knot is an expression of artisanal mastery passed down through generations. The abrash, if present, adds a touch of authenticity, testifying to the beauty of natural dyes and the aging process.

Ideal for enriching living rooms, lounges, or studies, an Ilaam rug is not just a furnishing element, but a piece of history and culture, capable of transforming the atmosphere of any room with its timeless charm.
