The Authentic Elegance of a Persian Gorawan

This magnificent Gorawan rug, originating from the renowned region of Persia, is a superb example of the ancient art of knotting. Crafted with hand-carded wool on a sturdy cotton warp, it boasts a high knotting density (160,000-200,000 knots/sqm), attesting to its exquisite craftsmanship and durability.

The design is dominated by an impressive geometric central medallion, characterized by star motifs and angular patterns that extend towards the corner spandrels. The main field, in a deep and vibrant red, is beautifully contrasted by the cream and dark blue corner sections. The harmony of colors is enhanced by a multilayered border, rich in tribal details that elegantly frame the overall design. The potential presence of abrash adds a touch of authenticity, highlighting the natural coloring of the wool.

With its thick weave (1 cm) and artisanal composition, this Gorawan is not just a rug, but a work of art that brings warmth and an inviting atmosphere to any setting. It is the perfect choice for those seeking a piece of Persian history and tradition, capable of enriching their living space with a strong and unmistakable character.
