Persian Baluch: The Nomadic Weaving Art

A Baluch rug, originating from the nomadic regions of Persia, is more than just a floor covering: it is a tangible expression of a rich culture and an ancient textile art. Each knot tells a story of journey, tradition, and a deep connection to the land. Crafted with hand-carded wool, this rug evokes an authentic and timeless atmosphere, bringing the warmth and soul of ancient Persian traditions into any setting.

The geometric design of this Baluch is intrinsically linked to its tribal origin. The field is adorned with multiple guls or symmetrically arranged geometric medallions, a distinctive feature of these artifacts. The color palette, dominated by a deep and intense burgundy red, contrasted by black elements, evokes a sense of mystery and strength, typical of Baluch rugs. The possible presence of abrash, slight color variations due to natural dyes, adds authenticity and unique charm.

With a density of 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 0.6 cm, this Baluch rug is not only a work of art but also a robust and durable piece. Its composition of hand-carded wool on a cotton warp ensures its resistance to wear and ease of maintenance. Ideal for adding a touch of elegance and history to living rooms, studies, or hallways, it perfectly complements both classic and ethnic decor styles, creating a striking visual focal point.
