A Persian Work of Art: The Sarough Rug

Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of this magnificent Sarough rug, an authentic masterpiece of Persian craftsmanship. Its robustness and unmistakable elegance make it a valuable furnishing element, capable of transforming any environment.

The heart of the rug is dominated by an elegant central medallion, beautifully outlined and richly decorated. From it radiates an elaborate all-over design of floral motifs, including stylized palmettes, sinuous vines, and delicate blossoms, all arranged with harmony and precision.

The rich color palette is vibrant and sophisticated: an intense deep red serves as the background, highlighting details in navy blue, sky blue, ivory, and cream. These shades blend to create a captivating visual contrast, typical of quality Sarough rugs.

The majestic border, composed of concentric bands, echoes and enriches the field's motifs, with a sequence of rosettes and vegetal elements that frame the main design with great skill and attention to detail.

Crafted from high-quality hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, this rug features a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of 1.2 cm, testifying to its excellent craftsmanship and long-lasting durability. Sarough rugs, originating from Persia, are renowned for their robustness and the beauty of their designs, often characterized by natural abrash which attests to their authenticity and artisan craftsmanship. A true work of art that brings warmth and elegance to any setting.
