This Shiraz rug, originating from Persia, is an authentic expression of nomadic craftsmanship, expertly woven from hand-carded wool, with a cotton warp. Its rich color palette, dominated by a deep red with contrasts of navy blue and accents of cream, green, and ochre, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The design features a central geometric medallion, flanked by similar motifs and surrounded by an all-over field hosting a myriad of tribal elements, including stylized animals like birds and zoomorphic figures, symbols of fertility and prosperity.
