This is a magnificent Shiraz rug originating from Persia, renowned for its tribal authenticity and vibrant colors. Made with hand-carded wool on a cotton warp, it exhibits exceptional robustness and quality, with a density of approximately 160,000-200,000 knots/sqm.

The central design is dominated by a large polygonal medallion set against a deep red field, adorned with numerous geometric and stylized motifs, including animals and stars, typical of Qashqai nomadic art. The color variation, known as abrash, adds depth and character. The main borders, on a cream background, contrast beautifully and are decorated with serrated and stylized floral motifs, elegantly framing the field.
